Career Pathways

Career connected paid internships in partnership with BIPOC owned businesses and nonprofits. Participants gain skills in job preparation, complete skills assessment, job training, mock interviews, and resume writing.  Youth participate in internships giving them valuable work experience and exposure to BIPOC entrepreneurs in the community.

2025 ACE Youth Internships

Academy for Creating Excellence (ACE) will be hiring youth interns for our 2025 programming! 

We are looking for Black males between the ages of 14-24 to assist us with work targeting this same demographic in the Seattle area.  Applications for the following internships are currently open:

ACE Fitness Trainer Interns

ACE is looking to increase the number of Black Males in the area of Health & Wellness! ACE Fitness Training Interns will meet after school twice a week. One day will focus on the interns meeting with a certified personal trainer/coach on planning Health & Wellness sessions at ACE. The second day each week will find the interns helping run Health & Wellness sessions alongside ACE staff for ACE participants.

ACE Fitness Training Internships are scheduled to cover the following:

  • How to start, open, and maintain a gym

  • Customer service

  • Best practices to coaching and training youth

  • Safety protocols

  • Proper use of equipment

  • Business practices of operating a gym

  • Construct and design workouts

  • Nutrition protocols

The ACE Fitness Training Internships are scheduled to take place January through June and pay $20/hour.  Application closes Wednesday, January 22 at 5:00 pm PST.  We are looking for Black males ages 16-24 to apply!
