Day of Excellence 5k Run/Walk
ACE just completed our 2nd annual Day of Excellence 5K Run/Walk in partnership with Black Men Run Seattle
💥 Why Participate?
Funds raised will directly support ACE Academy’s life-changing programs for Black boys and young men—providing educational support, mentorship, enrichment, and a strong foundation for future success.
💸 Where does the Funding go?
All funding raised from the Day of Excellence event, would go towards our FAME scholarship fund. The F.A.M.E. (Family Academics Motivation, and Environment) scholarship is a dedicated scholarship fund for former ACE program participants. The scholarship provides supplemental funds that can be utilized by students to cover costs associated with their post-secondary educational paths. We realize that as students continue their education there are often unexpected costs and obstacles that can get in the way of successfully completing programs.

The Academy for Creating Excellence (ACE) and Black Men Run (BMR) - Seattle will be collaborating through a 5k walk/jog/run called the Day of Excellence.
Day of Excellence is a scholarship fundraiser centered around the health and wellness of black men. Our goal is to raise $15,000 to support the ACE FAME Scholarship fund. 15 ACE students will receive $1,000 awards towards their post-secondary education.ACE is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization providing high quality services in support of black males. Fostering safe spaces to facilitate their growth to best understand themselves as viables world citizens.
BMR - Seattle - At Black Men Run we believe that running/jogging can change these alarming trends and we are here to encourage African American males to get out and be active. Research tells us that running on a regular basis not only benefits individuals from a physical standpoint but also increases mental sharpness. Studies show that running on a regular basis helps to boost your confidence, relieves stress and eliminates depression.
Nominate your ACE Champion of the Month
ACE will be highlighting young Black men each month as ACE Champions. These are individuals who embody the Values and mission of ACE ACademy.
Each month, we honor individuals who embody ACE Academy’s mission of empowering and uplifting Black Males.
At ACE Academy, we aim to empower young Black men, educators, and BIPOC communities through equitable access to education, leadership development, and cultural representation, fostering success on both a local and global scale.

Congratulations to ACE Academy (Clarence Dancer, Jr, Marcus Harden and WIllie Seals, III) for receiving the 2025 Mountaintop Award in Education at The MLK Prayer Breakfast on Monday, January 20, 2025.
Over 60 years ago, Dr. King said ‘I Have a Dream’ to 250,000 gathered for the March on Washington. This Dream was set between a perpetual reality of loss and hate, among struggle and resistance. His speech sparked a movement in Seattle, gathering with the values of unity, justice, and love inspired to endure.
The mission of the MLK Prayer Breakfast is to unite businesses, non-profit organizations, and church families to celebrate Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s spiritual legacy. We honor community education, business, and community leaders who model Dr. King’s work in unity, justice and love within their reach.
The Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast is presented by the MLK Prayer Breakfast Planning Committee, MLK Breakfast Business Advisory Committee, Urban Impact and the following community partners: C3 Leaders, King County Youth Chaplaincy, Olive Crest, Seattle Pacific University John Perkins Center, Seattle Youth for Christ, World Relief, Fellowship Seattle, Community Passageways and Vision House and Acts on Stage, in cooperation with the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee.
