Congratulations to our Award Recipients
ACE Academy announced the presentation of two inaugural awards at our 3rd Annual Night of Excellence Fundraising Gala: The Black Male Educator of the Year and Black Male Administrator of the Year awards. These honors celebrate the commitment, passion, and transformative impact of Black male educators and administrators within the Greater Seattle King County area and awarded to recipients whose dedication has made a lasting difference for students, families, and educational institutions.
The award initiative was launched through ACE’s Black Educator Institute, a network dedicated to supporting and empowering Black educators across the state and beyond. Throughout the nomination process, members of our network submitted their top choices for Black male educators and administrators who have demonstrated remarkable dedication to education and
leadership.
This recognition is a reflection of your exceptional dedication, hard work, and the tremendous impact you have made in education. Your commitment to empowering and inspiring students has not only shaped young minds but has also set a remarkable example for educators everywhere.
A highly competitive peer selection based on the nominees' outstanding contributions, we are proud to name:
Dr. Chris Carter, Seattle Public Schools Executive Director of Southwest Region, the Black Male Administrator of the Year.
Alex Rankin, South Shore K-8 Extended Resource Teacher, the Black Male Educator of the Year.
