An experiential program that changes lives.
ACE Academy Summer Program is a 3-year grant awarded program collaborating with the City of Seattle and the Department of Education and Early Learning. The Summer Program will take place at Southshore K-8 and will focus on rising 7th grade males (Students entering 8th grade in the 2018-2019 School Year) whom attend Southshore K-8. The Summer Program will immerse young men in hands on academic learning opportunities in Humanities, Math & Science and have daily experiential learning opportunities through Health & Wellness, Reading & Writing and weekly local field trips.
ACE Summer Academy will also feature an individualized leadership & learning plan in which our young men will be able to earn goal based summer stipends. ACE Summer Program will focus on the whole child with the intention of experiencing the joy of learning daily.
At ACE, young men will learn:
FAMILY - Compassion and understanding,
ACADEMICS - a strong educational and cultural foundation,
MOTIVATION - the value of perseverance and determination, and
ENVIRONMENT - how to use their individual talents for the greater good in their community. Excellence for them will not just be a singular act, but a habit.
Who is eligible for ACE Academy Summer Program?
All Rising 7th grade males (Students entering 8th grade in upcoming School Year) whom attend Southshore K-8. Scholars and Parents/Guardians must commit to attending 90% of the program days.
